Welcome to Ken-Speckle Letterpress

I've always been enamored by the charm and craftsmanship of Ken-Speckle Letterpress. Nestled in the picturesque city of Duluth, Minnesota, at the western extremity of Lake Superior, this letterpress studio embraces 19th-century techniques to offer ingenious solutions to 21st-century problems. Led by the talented duo of Rick Allen and Marian Lansky, Ken-Speckle combines traditional and digital methods to create distinctive and captivating designs.

A Unique Collection

Explore the Kenspeckle Shop and discover a delightful assortment of notecards, giclees, wood engravings, printed ephemera, books, posters, and tasteful novelties. Rick Allen, with his keen focus on the 19th century, meticulously prints wood engravings and lino cuts in small editions using multiple blocks and hand coloring. Meanwhile, in the 21st century, Marian expertly crafts limited edition giclees of Rick's prints as well as her own artistic creations.

Connect With Them

If you have any questions or simply want to engage in a pleasant conversation, feel free to leave a comment on Blogspeckle. For wholesale inquiries or other matters, you can reach out to Marian or Rick via email or phone. They would be more than happy to assist you.
